i was looking at the st246 caldina which i belive are the gt-four models. what i was wondering was could you convert this from tip to manual using the box off a st215 caldina??

I would be very interested in seeing one of these "six speed manual" versions as there is no mention of them anywhere, not in the owners manual which is for every model, not in any search on the internet that I have done, not on the toyota japan website where they are still sold new in facelift form, in short nowhere.

The entire range is entirely auto with not a manual among them so it could be reasonably difficult to fit in a clutch pedal as there is a foot "handbrake" in the way and they have never been engineered for it. You might also have a bit of a problem with the shifter as there may not be mounting points for it and definatly won't be any trim pieces.

Chris.

p.s. 99gtt, a link or it didn't happen

Wishing for others to fail, is only an atempt to make yourself feel better for your own failures. I did not realise there were so many people awaiting my fall . When i first met you inane you talked alot of sh-t and since then you have nothing of any interest ,to say on this forum. ooops sorry your vsc disable switch . Did you forget to mention you have a vsc switch . Dont forget it turns on and off.

Nice to get an apology although you ruined it a bit by going after inane.

I think evryone was expecting you to argue your point in the face of the available evidence as may have happened previously. You seem to have learnt when to drop a subject but, and don't take this wrong, you maybe, and just maybe need to learn to check your sources or preceed your comments with "I've been told" or "I think there is" instead of presenting it as fact, I sure people would be a lot more accomodating if you showed a little more humility.

Even if there aren't any 6 speed manuals there are still some pretty cool and sytlish versions of the new caldina.
