Naki Minimeet this weekend (labour weekend)

Postby KinLoud » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:03 am

Oh yes. A wee adventure for Labour weekend.
I'm sure there will be a bit of a cruise and a lot of laughs!
A couple of people have said they are keen on this. Anyone else?
Also does anyone have any particular thing to do or place to visit?

I will be driving down to Taranaki on saturday morning to catch up with Santa. Spending the night at his place in Inglewood (near new plymouth). Then back to hamilton on sunday...
Who else is keen? Anyone want a lift?
If you want to stay at Santa's I suggest you contact him directly ASAP.
Anyone want anything taken to or brought back from Taranaki? I could be persuaded to take my car trailer down for a dropoff or pickup mission.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

If I get this gear box done on Saturday then I'm dead keen for a drive to 'run it in'. Fingers crossed the job goes with out a hitch.

Santa save me a bed for Sunday night

I'm another one in the middle of a gearbox change and hoping for no problems.
If you are all around on sunday, and my gearbox is in, the taranaki car club has their sprint around de-havlind drive that my car will be competing in.
Its something to go see.
I got a new 2 way LSD to get used to

pureadrenalin: I know that event well I've done a few times now. It's a great one! I'm still a TCC member perhaps I should make an late entry  ahh don't think so with a newly rebuilt gear box (that is if it gets done in time!)

oh, come on chelles, its just a gearbox
As it stands, 7pm friday, mine is still in bits, getting the bearings changed, ready to go in the car to race on sunday.
I think it's going to be a close one.
Don't know how many km's I'm going to get on my new exedy clutch before it gets used in anger either

hrmmm maybe you're right pureadrenalin. The drive from Auckland down home should be enough to 'run' it in ... ooo Mt Messenger and the Awakino Gorge . I too still have the box in bits, two bearings are sitting on my work bench ready to go in tomorrow night, box back in Saturday, service the car, do the front rotos and pads and she'll be a rippa :D Fingers crossed my help arrives and the job goes well.... the 'naki here I come!!

So your driving down Saturday in time for racing Sunday?
Remember when breaking in a new part and something goes wrong, there is no cell phone reception in the awakino and mt messenger. And you are likely to come across someone weird, like people from Inglewood, just hanging around up to no good

Have fun with out me and I'll be pouting in Auckland...

 Gold! I won’t be doing that as I’m a nice girl Brad.

Oh it changes it very much as this is a week early and I have to arrange a fridge, go through work out what is mine and what is his, pack it up and be there to ensure all goes well. I'm a control freak and need to be there so I don't have any surprises when I get back...
