Stolen - Blue WRX Type R

Postby Wally Simmonds » Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:09 pm

First off I would like to say hello, and apologise for my selfish first post but I have had my WRX stolen and thought I would post on some car forums (hey, you never know who might see it)

If you guys see this at all please give me a text on 0272 808 248, I would really appreciate it. Ive only owned the car for three weeks and very distraught at the loss.

Thanks,
Wally

Terrible to hear about the loss mate.... good luck finding the girl.

Did that car come from Chch originally, it looks familiar?

Yeah, I bought it from Turners down there, and drove it up to Welly. It was an awesome drive!

If a thief really wants a car he will get it no doubt. It could have been towed away.. who knows.

Sorry to hear about the loss, and I hope your insurance comes through. It's a shame you can't even park your car anywhere these days without getting stolen or broken into.

I think people need to realise that if you own a Subaru, then you'd better accept that theres' a 90% chance that its' going to get stolen, they're so damn easy to break into (not speaking from personal experience or anything!) and the need for parts for them is huge.. just like early Evos and GTRs.

Sorry to hear about your loss mate, its' pretty distinct, if I see it down here I'll let you know.

Hey! Yeah, it was in at your work, and yeah I was once a petroleum-transfer-tech :P

They found it out Tawa way...in this dudes garage. He'd been given a sum of money to look after it, and apparently he tried to sell the wheels who mustve informed the cops. Cops got a warrant for his arrest, raided his house - apparently the front was chopped off, the interior stripped and all the panels pretty much beaten in.

Cops have got some leads on 3 other people apparently, so hopefully they get whats coming to them. Unfortunately I only insured it for the sum of what I paid for it, and I doubt I'll get another Type R for that price (I got it reasonably cheap at Turners in Chch)
