I came across this.... uuhhh I dont know how actually. :lol:

Thought some people here might find it interesting.

NSX has titanium conrods. 8O

Also, it mentions the Altezza as the first 4 door production car to have titanium intake valves as standard. 8)

Interesting that it cites the 6 cyl Atezza (2jz-ge in the Gita or the ol' 1g-fe in the AS200).....although the wagon didnt come out until 2001 so I guess that leaves the 1g-fe with titanium valves!!!????

I would have thought the 3s-ge would have a been a better candidate for titanium valves so maybe that is a typo?

IIRC the Toyota Century (5l V12) makes use of Titanium in the engine....but finding info on that engine is tough

Yeah I think it's a typo, as the 3SGE in the altezza is the one with titanium valves.

and its only the manual version that has these as well .auto uses same valves as fwd red top
