Disarmed?

Postby DRTY.2 » Thu Oct 26, 2006 5:34 pm

To cut a long story short, basically my mother is trying to stop me driving my car, so far as to take my keys off me. Well, I had a new key made and now the car will not start. There is absolutely no charge from the battery, so I out in a different one and still no charge. Now the new one I put in should be fully charged and should work... so my mate thinks my car has been disarmed somehow.

Thoughts?

perhaps the main fuse has been removed from the fuse box in the engine bay. there's probably a picture of what should be there on the lid of the fuse box, compare it to what's in there and make sure it matches up.

how mechanically-minded is she? when you turn the key does the starter motor "click" or nothing at all? maybe she pulled the terminal off the starter motor solenoid... :?

3SGEs have a coil with lead don't they? I'd make sure your lead is still there.. I used to take mine off so people couldn't start my car, other than that, make sure all fuses are in and tight, other than that, I'd be talking to your mother!

Thats what my mum used to do to her Porsche when her and dad went away! Can't say I blame her :P
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Yup, two fuses were missing and I think they've taken the rotor out... she got a mechanic to come and disarm it, lol, she tried but couldn't find the engine!!
