You've misinterpreted that Sergei. It just means the engine has to be either 1600cc or less and it must also make the same power or less to not need a cert.


You WILL need a cert if you swap a B/T into a car that had a red or bluetop engine previously... same if you put bigger cams in and make 20% more power (not that anyone could tell).

I am pretty sure sergei is right... it would say "is of the same or less capacity and power output" otherwise.

.... but then again in all cases you can bet the Law will be read as an or... which its fairly obviously supposed to read.

Well they state that "of same induction", so no for turbo 400hp..

also the 20v makes more power so needs a cert, and is of differnt head design, also doing FE-GE conversions require a cert " differnt head design.
