wanna find out how much to insure my aw11 for

Post by crshbndct »

i just got this for 600 bucks
87000km, one owner - nz new and have all service records
new blower installed by toyota
immaculate condition
has all original carpets, seats, everything
it is not currently registered, have had its re-vinning check needs things like headlight lamps and that kind of small stuff

it was left standing for 2 years, and so has a ew tiny spots of rust, but it is getting a professional respray after the vin.

i wanna know how much to insure it for once its all back on the road and painted

Don't blame it on the people not understanding the question if you don't know how to properly ask one!!

Where did you get the idea that its NZ New?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

This may be a shock but you could ring the insurance company and ask them, i'm sure they're underwriters would give you a true value.

Mine is insured for $3k, and is in a not tidy condition. Where did you find that car??? Awesome, score of the century! 8)
Worth $5k or so to the right person, but insurance companies tend to see them as 2 door corollas :? What is a 20 year old corolla worth now...

the original sale document
i think it was imported by whangarei toyota when it was brand spankers, and registered as a nz newie.

it has the original sale document to the original owner, with matching numbers et al.

The P series number plates were around 1990. Has it had a plate change?

sometimes having low ks can be a bad thing.. has spent alot of time sitting around not doing anything.
part of the reason why my first 7m had problems i think.. started to corrode since it was sitting so long.

My S/C Mr2 is NZ new, Sold brand spankers in 87.
Probable story is toyota NZ bought over a couple for some reason or another. Maybe some rich yuppies Wanted them so bad they were willing to pay the Big bucks (An AW11 NA was around $50-60K new) Think of what the SC model would've fetched?!? 8O

Very true, My ST165 after selling it had bottom end bearing issues. Also had 82,000k area on it for a what 19 year old car..
