Recommend Me an Alarm System

Postby UZZ30 » Mon Oct 30, 2006 4:14 pm

Well, Im in need of an Alarm/Immobiliser for my recently purchased Toyota Soarer. Im after something with a decently loud siren, at least one Immobiliser system and reasonably priced under $450

So anyone got knowledge of a system that would suit my needs?

Any help would be great and please no unnecessary imput, I only want useful replys.

Cheers

I got a mongoose M60 G installed for 380 a few months ago by a certified installer. NZ 5 star rating, dual immobilisers, battery back up siren, black wiring, auto immobilising etc.
I've found it pretty good so far. Have a look on trademe, thats where I got mine through :D

Mongoose m80

Imo they are better than dynatron after talking to various proffessional installers such as hotwire.

Most of the guys I know are of the opposite opinion, mainly because of reliability and support reasons

Either way, if you get yourself a 5 star alarm, installed properly, you'll be away laughing.

And just to go way off topic, where's t0ms hiding these days??

Mr.Freak

i is still hear. just float in the back ground... watching....

i would love to offer my opinion but last time i did a certain supplier got their knickers in a twist :P

PM me if ya want help or recomendations

however always a good start is to work out what you NEED. ie CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE FIRST NOT AFTER. if you get one that isnt up to spec you'll end up spending more changing it. i have lost count of the times i have been bitched at by people who buy an alarm then realise its not what they need

Whatever the alarm ensure to wire in sirens inside the car. Most car's sound deadening will hide most of the noise. An internal siren really hurts whihc makes it harder to rip out guages etc.
