Carburettor specialists?

Postby TTEETT » Mon Nov 06, 2006 1:24 pm

Am looking for a Carburettor specialist in Auckland to get my Corolla 2E running like it should, I have just rebuild entire engine from bottom to top and have replaced all ignition components and it is running like crap. Is defiantly the carb! Failing that does anyone have one for sale?

Any advice would be much appreciated as im struggling to find anyone who is half decent.

If its running the su type carburetor dont even bother with it, Buy a complete manual choke down draught job and manifold from a wrecker.

The 2e su type carbs just give never ending problems, mainly hard starting when hot, a carb specialist will tell you the same thing.

The car has been in our family since new (1986) and has never given us any trouble until now.

Just posting this for future reference, I found this place in south Auckland to be top notch, they really know carburetors! Any carburetor problems go see them.
