Toyota Altezza RS200 vs Honda Accord Sir-T

Postby UZZ30 » Fri Nov 10, 2006 6:32 pm

A buddy of mine is think about a new car soon. Currently he is considering an RS200 Altezza 1998-1999 in Manual. However recently I reccomended the Honda Accord Sir-T as a cheaper alternative to an Altezza. Now hes having a bit of troube over what to go for...

So saying you could chose either of these cars. Both are 1998-1999 models, both are stock standard, both are manual and obviously in the similar condition/milage....

The main difference between these cars is RWD vs FWD, but both have similar power ~150kw similar torque from memory ~200nm and similar weights ~1300kg...

What would reccomend as the better overall car the, Sir-T or the Altezza RS200? Pros and cons of either car? Id like some reasonable opinions not just a basic 'that car' response

Thanks guys.

Is your buddy interested in the asthetic apeal(sp) of his car?

As you have said both are similar cars, but i find the altezza alot easier on the eye. In saying that, there common as now, coz everyone likes them...
Hopefully this is a valid point. My vote is for Altezza
ADMIN EDIT: oversized sig image removed - way too large

The Honda is a good car, they drive very nice for a FWD, and they are faster than the Altezza, also cool is the fact there aren’t as many on the roads.

But over all the Altezza is in a different class, tell him to drive both and there won’t be any question as to witch to choose! 100% go the Tezz.

I'd go the RS200 out of those two, BUT if it were a Euro-R.... different story.
