Finding ABS control unit in ae101 trueno

Postby RAZA » Sat Nov 11, 2006 8:40 am

I am hoping someone knows where the brain unit for the ABS hides in a ae101 trueno.

My ABS light stays on after the self test and from reading online the most likely cause for this is a faulty sensor/faulty wiring to the sensor.

I did find this guide to diagnosing abs faults (thanks fivebob)

if possible I'd prefer to just measure the resistance through each sensor and see if any of them are different from the rest, but the wires from the sensors just dissappear in through a hole in the guard and vanish into the loom.[/url]

From the diagrams I've seen, it under the dash on the firewall on the right of steering column somewhere. But that's a vague-ish memory.

I had the abs light on in my ae101 gtz and used the scanner at work to find out one of the front sensors was broken and the main relays were broken,The relays are in the drivers inner guard in front of the wheel. Take it to a good workshop and get it scaned so you know excatly whats up and arnt swappin parts.
