Looks like i'm just gonna be spectating this one :(

The new front pair of struts I ordered back in march turned out to be two lefts, only realised on the weekend when I finally got the last of the bits and assembled them (cheers Pete). Replacement right is about 3 weeks away so wont be able to sort the rest of the car in time.

Have helmet and overalls if someone wants to borrow them OR If anyones got a spare seat and they don't mind a little ballast that might just fix my speed cravings for the weekend

That would be great. Got the one left side in on sunday so if I get a right off ya soon I may be able to sort rest of the car, nothing to lose anyway. Cheers

entries are rolling in, but there are places still available. if you do not wish to incur the late entry fee, it needs to be on it's way!!

BTW, havn't seen any Toyota's on any entries :(

My levin is running and nearly road worthy but have a few issues that have prevented my entry from arriving. The strut I borrowed (an original) has a slightly different taper in the weld compaired to my new set which I got the spacers machined for so the strut body nut isn't sitting down on the shock as far as would be prefered to thrash around the track.

Doesnt look like the new strut will arrive in time but at least it's driveable now.

I guess with the CCC speed event on the next day a few people have a lot on for the weekend already. Still should be a good cruise and days entertainment.

What a day!!
58 entries including 5 cars from Unit 23 as well as Steveo Bailes.
each car got 2 runs at the two tarmac autocross tracks, the two standing sprints, as well as the short track.
no major carnage or dramas, except for competitors inability to listen to and follow instructions, resulting in many guys dropping off the overall timesheets due to not coming to a complete stop in the go-to-whoa, as well as three indian file runs for the circuit sprint.

a 'day for the ears'!
the spectators probably got sunburnt ones, many competitors didn't use theirs, but other competitors were grinning so much they nearly swallowed them.

all in all, an excellent day . watch for sticky threads soon for bigger and better things that are in the pipeline.
