ok, turbo in question is a t3 off a z18 as found in a nissan tank ahh errr i mean silvia, circa 1984.

now.... what i want to know is what kind of application would this suit....

ie engine cc, hp?

trying to find info without giving away secrets :lol:

Had one on mine. Probably not the most efficient turbo due to age etc but seemed to go alright

sounds like it's off an S12/S110, if they're anything like the CA18DET which came with a T25, then stay away they're crapolas, it'll be good for low boost 4AGE but if you wanna push anything decent (over 200hp) then you're looking for the wrong thing.

If its not dead and rebuilt already - its overdue to be, and not the best piece of work out there. Safe bet to assume its efficient for 1.8 and under motors (the Z18 would breath worse than most modern 1.6l motors) *BUT* have sufficient lag to seem normal, if not spongy on a 2l. Basically, I agree with all Akane said.

its freshly rebuilt.

200hp at the crank is about 60-70 more than my wildest dreams!
sounds like it may do the job then

My brother has a Ca18et (sohc) which was from a auto S12. It was a T2 turbo....

TINY and useless :lol:

But Im assuming the manual version must have had a different turbo setup?
