Hey guys, does anyone know much on this subject?

I have a Dereg'd 1992 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R N14 (has been reg'd in nz before)

am i able to reregister it normaly?

what happens if you dont have any documents but you have VIN and Chassis numbers

Unless you're saying the car is VIN'd in NZ, implying it has been complied?

If its previously been registered then yes it can be rereg'd. Costs a bit, and if there is anything wrong with it at all you'll be required to have it repaired first. If its been crashed previously then I wouldnt bother.

no crash damage, only difference is interior (most of) removed and engine replaced

If engine has different number to build plate they might want you to do low volume cert for reregistration.

not necessarily, but you will be required to supply all numbers to NZ Police, just to make sure nothing has been reported as stolen.

Replaced with the same model engine or with a different one?

hey ive just done this about 2 months agao cost me about 500 all up

was 170 to have vehicle stript and inspected also didnt have original engine in they dont care aslong as the same engine has been put back in the other 400 went on reging it as it has to be registerd for 12mnths when u re-register a vehicle and then a wof.

its havine a SR20DE put in instead of a DET, only reason is because it is to expensive to get ahold of a DET
