Where to get a 1jz single turbo manifold

Postby spencer » Mon Nov 27, 2006 9:11 pm

anyone know where to get/who can make me a single turbo manifold manifold for my mark II? Searched around the net and here but only found the ones on trademe that go for around $900. Im looking to pay a little less, had ago making one myself but im not a master of pipe manipulation :D

does the staock manifold feed one turbo per 3 cylinders, or does it just feed all the turos from all the cylinders? if it does, just use the 2nd turbo flange for a wastegate

Stock manis are 3cyl per turbo. you can make up a pipe adaptor set but its pretty rangi.

just buy this:

Image
1JZGTE HKS GT3040
HKS GT3040 ballbearing turbo
HKS stainless manifold
HKS 50mm external gate
Oil line, oil drain, dump pipe
$2700- AU$

and give it to me

haha... and where exactly do you propose he track one of those down?
The VVT-i 1JZs are single turbo yes but you'll still need to get an adapter or different flange welded on for another turbo.

It would be pointless and you won't be able to track one down regardless...

WELL it was just a useful peice of information :D

more informative than your post :D

and that manifold + adapter will be cheaper than an aftermarket item.

on the small note that he can find one :S

as said above theres two manifolds one for each turbo,
Mr oizo those have a reserve close to $900 but could be the easy way to go.
And cozmo the single factory 1jz manifolds are logs and hard to find waste of time.
Looks like I'll pm evil_si cheers

Bugger, I just sold a brand new stainless one for $350 last week. Been lying around for ages. Typical! You should be able to find something around the $550-600 mark new from memory.
