spoiler plugs for caldina

Postby gleem » Mon Nov 27, 2006 5:57 pm

took my middle spoiler off today and it looks good however it left 8 holes in it, i was wondering what would be good to cover them up, i went to repco and there spoiler plugs where hopeless so im wondering what people here may have used. Would anyone know how much it would cost to get them to welded up and painted?

cheers

These things, usually found in various sizes and colours holding together the interior trim......

Not something I'd use to plug holes externally myself

I just used blanking grommets in my missus' AE92, needed a couple of different sizes, but work fine.

i've used neutech stuff from repco. sand the surface around the hole from underneath and then get the neutech, spread it around the hole from under and push some up through the hole. from the top, get a plastic scraper and level it out and let it harden, then use 800 and 1200 grit wetndry sandpaper to smooth it out and paint over:)

why take it off?!?!?
the look rude without them

if you do insist on being middle spoilerless i would suggest swapping the whole hatch with another one
i imagine that there will be heaps of people wanting the twin spoiler one rather than their poo singles :P
