ae101 silvertop engine swap to ae111 can you do it.

Postby antonio » Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:05 pm

can the silvertop go strait into the ae111 model, and can it go straight on the standard ae111 gear box?

Sell the car and buy one with a 4AGE in it. Its cheaper and will look tidier and is the sensible option

I'm not sure how much value you expect to gain, but you will limit your market a bit, not everyone is keen on getting a car with an engine that isnt factory, but best of like with this idea.... :?

you'll need a cert, and to merge the wiring looms and a whole bunch of mucking around
so it wont *go straight in*
will bolt to the same mounts yes, but the rest is the tricky bit

remember flywheel and clutch.

Why bother with all the work if your selling it?
As said above, a silvertop won't add to the value of your car anyway.

sounds like a really stupid decision if you ask me, which you didn't :P

Flick the ae111, flick the silvertop, and save for next car. That will net you the most $$

I think you'd attract more buyers with the orginal motor, especially if its a econobox 4afe 8)

good luck with sale

bro bro bro bro bro bro, f#cking bro

you dont seem to have much or a clue in all seriousness, but if you think it will add value to your car, do it. don't worry about what all these toyota people think cause they dont know how much toyota's are worth.

by the time you put motor in, wired up, cert etc, your gonna earn about... oh oh i'll tell you, maybe $500 which man, sounds like the meanest deal. for alot of time and f#cking around. might pay to stick with your fully sik kit bro and sell it with that.

It will lower the value of the car as it would cost more to insure that one with a factory blacktop. Hookups bro doesn't change that.
