Hello everyone. I have joined this forum in the hope that all you knowledgeable Toyota enthusiasts will be be able to answer some of my questions. I have fitted a 2jz-ge into my hiace, and need to know what flywheel, bellhousing, and pressure plate I will need to mate it up to my origanal hiace gearbox. The whole lot has been shifted back around 150mm to provide clearance at the front. I am not keen to run the auto box etc, as this wagon is for heavy towing and I cant be bothered with extra wiring and drive shaft mods etc etc etc.

Can some kind person tell me what bits I need, and, better still, where to get them?

Peoples use W55 etc as cheaper option fir 2J or 1 J manual conversion.
try PM 'KE20' as he made a few custom adapter plate for J series bell to suit W box.
Got a mate up in Auck with 1UZ in a hiace van with just std hiace box with custom bellhousing... that thing is fast! :twisted:

mean hope you get it sorted. ive always wanted to put a
2j or a 1uz in a hiace about 8 race seats and my mates.
but then again i do like to do things different

ok how about put a cage in it get your mates kitted up with skid lids etc
and see the looks on peoples faces when you do a 1/4 mile with
8people in van

and no ive not been drinking

if you can find a n/a 2jz bell, it will bolt up to your factory gearbox, thats what i have in my ute, or i make adaptor plates, witch use the 2jz autobell on the engine and the adaptor goes between the bell and the box. can also get flys and clutchs etc
