How to diagnose fuel problems. LEM v2?

Postby crnkin » Sat Dec 02, 2006 1:32 pm

Alright, so anyone that can help me would be awesomely awesome.

Grotty has wired up my LEM V2, and its now sparking fine, the fuel pump works, (you can hear it) plus i tested it and fuel came out the fuel rail.

But when i crank the engine over, i have no exhaust manifold on, it sounds like there is no fuel getting in, and i cant smell any fuel, burnt or unburnt, even when i disconnect the coil. When my foot is flat you can hear the compression on the compression stroke, the spark fires at the correct time.

What I am wondering is if anybody can tell me ways to diagnose each component? I have narrowed it down to 3 options

-injector solenoids seized (evo 510cc)
-earths for injector
-Injector signal not getting through. (using 8 ohm ballast)

What is the best way to test these things? a multimeter over what terminals first etc?

If not, im gonna have to ask glenn to come over, but ill have to hide all the marking devices from him

Thanks

Chris

12v on one side of injector plug with key on. if thats sweet:
unplug all injectors, see if you get 12v pluse between injector plug terminals, when cranking. if thats sweet. your injector balast is too high.
