Avalon - blanks or something like that

Postby MrOizo » Sun Dec 03, 2006 11:09 am

Since my old mans radio in the Avalon crapped itself we got a Sony one for it. Only problem is that the factory unit was waayyy wider than the sont one... Is there anything to fill in the gaps on the side at all? (Highlighted in green)

Looks pretty ghey huh!!!

Soooooo anyone know of a off-the-self solution?

Might give that a go later...

google toyota avalon car stereo kits then look for the nearest dealer in australia

otherwise contact your local car stereo dealer and see if they can get metra kits in.

and don't do a hori like snwtoy and use ice cream containers lids.. i'm sure your dad doesn't won't to be known as the cheap ass on the block

you can take a mould of the old radio, clean it up, re-fibreglass and then trim, sand and paint and it woudl be perfect.. (at least thats what i'd bother to do anyway.. )

well i assume that there is a kit for avalons.. simply because metra have a car kit for nearly every mainstream vehicle.

I said to search australia as they have a larger proportion of avalon car owners.. and maybe cheaper for shipping?

anyway - i'm sure there is something around for you
