i want to paint some silver rims black or hyper black. What is the best method and what is the best type of paint to use..? cheers guys

I used Duplicolor paint, its about $9 a can from repco.

Sounds crapy but it came out mint, sanded by hand and it came out really good.

Have a look here, Dan used that wheel paint on his rims and they came up sweet

They do a satin black.

Code is on there web site. Just search duplicolor wheel paing on google.

Oh yea and repco will tell you that they only have silver, just make them look up the code for the colour you want and they'll be able to order it in.

thanks guys.. they both look like great finishes? just one can or two? how many coats are usually needed?

I have about 3 coats I think, 2 cans will do 4 wheels easy.

Hoe did you get the curb damage out? filler and sand paper?

I filled it off, then sanded, then polished.

Took freaking ages but hey, I was the one that wanted the polished lip.

If you are painting the whole rim I'd advise using a filler.

most places in auckland do powdercoating fro 25 a wheel not bad for a mint finish,
4AGTE AE101 COROLLA - 90%

Where the $&#$% is that oil leak coming from /club

looking for enkei RP01 center caps (white)

yea flag using can paint that stuffs shit, either get them powder coated or buy sum paint in a tin from resene etc tell them hat you are using it for and use a compressor and a gun, can paint is shit
