Full Throttle Auto X

Postby Ako » Sun Dec 03, 2006 9:30 am

Riiighty

Those who can remember the "Summer Nationals" last january will be happy to know its on again, in a revamped and renamed format.

This year its called the Full Throttle "Auto X", and its going to be one hell of a good day out.

Its on the 20th of Jan, at the addington rugby grounds (shares carpark with addington races / westpac trust etc).

Entry to spectators is $20. Entry for putting a car in the show is $20, with your entry to the day covered in that too.... Do the math and tell me why you wouldn't want to enter

Currently planned for the day - Burnout Comp - bigger and better than last year, the show + shine / sound off etc as you would expect, dyno will be running all day, bikini comps, engine blow face-off (gonna be a laugh), super motard racing, FMX displays, I'll update with more as and when we confirm it.

Long story short - for $20, you're getting an awesome full days entertainment, not just a look round a car show for half an hour.

I'm taking care of entries for the import side of the show, so if anyone is keen, give me a yell and I'll sort you out. We're more than happy to accomodate club displays, just get in early so I can get you a good spot! Club displays will pay $20 per car, same as individual entries.

Entry is open to anyone and anything. Be it the weekend racecar, your dads circuit car, your own shiny showpiece, whatever - we want to see it there. We've got everything from full on drag cars, to big rigs, rally cars, variety is what makes this interesting.

Cars in the show can enter burnout comp, jump on the dyno, sound off, and you don't have to leave your car there all weekend. Can be dropped off friday night if you want, or come in sat morning and be gone sat evening. Easy.

Any enquiries or if you just want to enter, contact me on 027 619 5995, email mark.atkinson@coolkiwi.com, or check out the website @ www.fullthrottle.biz .

Try me :D

I'm really keen to get all the chch clubs in on this, would be good for them all to showcase what they have to offer. No need for a big wanky theme, just the cars + owners.

Back to the top for you.

NZPC TV will be coming along to this, so if you've got something "special" to throw in the skid comp, by all means give it a lash. Nothing like 5 minutes of fame through being antisocial

Toyspeed has gone a bit slack with its profile down here these days, would be kinda cool for you guys to get a couple cars together and put a bit of a stand together. I'm quite serious when I say we don't want to put together a show with just the same show cars - we want to see the tidy daily drivers, the weekend racecar, though I'll draw the line at a primered DX wagon with a locked diff  (though in the burnout it could be gold  ).

Entries can be taken by myself, so if anybody is keen then PM me your address and I'll flick you an entry form - and even come pick it and your entry fee up. Hows that for service 8)

Guys, ANYTHING goes for the skid comp. Locked diff just helps you look less stupid than doing one-wheelers

$20 gets you a full days entertainment. Not being picky, but other shows cost $5 less and all you get is a bunch of static cars - here, you'll be kept well amused for quite some time. If you put your car in, there's also chances for prizes too :D

Anyone who went last year will know its worth it, even just for the skids alone.

Entry forms - hit me up, and I'll deliver them to ya. Failing that, I'll try and get somewhere to get them picked up from starting this week.

I thought it was average, there was little we hadn't all seen before. I'd rather stick 20 bucks in the tank and go for a trash round the hills.
