HELP!!!!!! engine wont start

Postby andyae85 » Sun Dec 10, 2006 3:33 pm

so i just degreased and waterbalsted ( probably not the best idea :? but it looks immacualate) but anyway went to start again and it wouldnt cos there was water in the sparkplugs, so i blew the water out then went to try again and it turned over but wouldnt start and made a sort of whistling squeeling noise and some smoke or steam came out of th podfilter :? any help would be greatly appreciated

Dry out all your electrical plugs in the engine bay.
Remove the air filter and look inside the intake to see if theres any water in there.
Remove the distributor cap and dry the dizzy out.

all the squealing noises would be water on the fan belt/s.
Try spraying CRC on the belt/s.

remove the spark plugs and crank the motor over and see if anything comes out.
Keep drying things out.

Sounds like you might have the leads round the wrong way.

Its possibly more wise at this stage to leave it at let it dry before it does do more serious damage, Dont stress to much as hard as it is now.

I remember i dropped somthing in water once ( i think it was a phone ) and i was freaking out ( was younger and it was alot of money then ) and i put it in the hot water cupboard for the night as i was told and tryed not to freak out.

Sure enuf the next morning it worked mint, just needed to dry out.
