Some very old intercept type ECU...any stickers/labels or any other sort of identification on it?

nah just wat u see on the front of it. its weird because it says "CONTROL UNIT FOR N A"

Perhaps its a similar concept to a vtec controller where it controls what rpm something is activated at.

ae9n levin gtz (supercharged), i cant figure aout wat the 'N A' would stand for tho? (surly woudnt stand for natrualy asperated being wired 2 a 4agze) :?

i think thers like 6 or so wires (wraped as 1) cuming out of the ecu and leading to that remote unit in the pic. i do not no wat it dose, do u?

Find out what wires they are. That should give you a fairly good idea.

olddd school turbo / NA timer?

Although why it owuld be on a GTZ i ahve no idea but hey, i've seen epople put them in their stock integras so it wouldn't surprise me

nah its not a turbo timer, something 2 do with fuel im gussing

I did, but now i read they go into the ECU rather than attach to the loom.

open the ecu up and take a photo

i think that looks like the idel mixture control toyota uesd in to places one was when they first went from a vain air flow to M.A.P sensours & the other time iv seen something like that was when they went from idle up solind to I.S.C & aux air valve from memore they were behind the glove box with the 5M motors or behind the centre of the dash were the box/stero goes on most the FWD cars
