Use of car trailer

Postby flying_wedge » Sat Dec 16, 2006 8:09 am

Hey, has anyone out there got a car trailer I could borrow for one day this coming week? My AW is stuck in Wanaka with a shattered windscreen, and I need to get it home.

Would prefer a braked trailer, with use of tie downs as well, but am not too fussed.

Would only be needed for one day - 1.5 at max. Payment could be in your fav beer?

Cheers

Wouldn't it be easier to organise a windscreen in Timaru and tow it there?

If no one has one for beers, there's a good braked trailer for hire at Southbrook Hire just down from Shell. Think its $60 for a day, surely you'd get there and back in a day. I have a 2.5T tie down you can borrow.

should do it comfortably in 10 hours with breaks.
i've dragged a big-arse salvage trailer to Westport and back within 24 hours.

Cheers for the offers guys, I found a trailer and endured the crazy weather on Wed to get to Wanaka and back in the one day . . . was a long day :P

And I don't have glass cover, so insurance was out of the question
