awesome bring it on

figured out ive only been running 17psi high boost for ages too, maybe as far back as the last drags. the greddy automatically limits boost by a certain % when you exceed a set point. set point was 22 and it was set to limit it by 20% if it exceeded that. i knocked it back last night and its feeling damn good on a proper 20psi now.

there was definately no issues with top end at manfield anyway :D

just gotta do a clutch change and engine mounts before i can go racing again :?

Good to hear those are sorted - and that could explain a few of the missing mph. Mine is only running 1bar - so I guess you don't have anything too much to worry about hehe...

I heard it looked like it was happy on the straights at Manfeild. Wish I could have made it there. Assuming a couple of gremlins and a new clutch are on the car I'll be at the next drags - gonna be fun trying to put the power down.

pffft 1bar is for noobs, gogo rb25 fed 21psi
looking forward to seeing the end figure.

my bov had been leaking for ages too, its now feels like it did the day it came back from the good tune. having to slow shift is still going to suck up some time until i get that fixed tho.
felt awesome coming down the main straight at manfield, and gave a few cars a good go at only 14psi.

rwd's seem to do ok at mmp for some reason, well, not as bad as highpowered fwd's anyway.

Not just at MMP - RWD ftw, and its more fun :D

(it does help that many of the RWDs were 2.5l turbos making >240kw @ wheels.... you're always going to struggle keeping up with that kind of thing)

Are you running 14psi because of Bov problem or to be safe? What sort of speeds were you getting on the straights?

14psi was just to be safe. bov is out of the equation now , duct tape is in

speedo must be miles out when going that fast, so speed was only what it indicated. even backing off significantly early it was off the clock consistently on all 3 straights, and by quiet a bit. i had brake fluid issues , and after the first time the pedal went soft at 180-190km i wasnt too keen to repeat it

I ran 17psi a couple of times when there were other cars chasing me. id up the boost, pull away down the straight and then have to let them through under brakes :?

ran the heaters on full (pete will attest to this as they are all pointed at the passenger seat  ) and the temperature never moved. not even anything in the overflow bottle.
i have a spare radiator anyway, but havent needed it yet. part of the reason for running lower boost is to keep the the temps reasonable.

ive only really had heat issues in traffic when theres no air moving over the radiator.

only real hot spot was the rims/brakes after runs, too hot to touch 8O

Awesome man, it'd be interesting to see how yours goes. I'd say at least 13s should be on the cards for you. I'm aiming at taking my slightly smaller whale there as well - will be keen to play with other 6cyl turbos, though I think (amongst other things) the semi slicks on yours are going to be hard to compete with off the line :(

Mate I will be doing that day on road tyres GSD3 F1s will do the job we'll be bringing 60 Cuba over as well just a funday for us before another Manfield assault in March is when I intend heading back.

I'm going to have a crack with Slicks this year at Manfield and see how good the car goes with even more grip also the FMIC upgrade at the end of January so I'm looking for about 30 more HP on the Dyno and once I've got this sorted with I'm ready for another track season...

Thats one thing I'm not looking foward to is sitting and waiting in lines all day that is going to really suck.I spoke to a few people and they only got like 4 runs for the whole day F**k thats it F**k for a whole day.I mean as a reference I did 2hot2handle and I was getting 5 runs a session so I ended up doing 15-18 runs for the weekend for $50 now thats value for money even though we were only doing 1/8th miles the different cars you got to race against was very broad.Me I got to race old school V8s Porsche Turbos,Dodge Viper,Lambo's all soughts. But I suppose it will be fun..

if you want bulk runs, drive to auckland and do the nightspeed drags.
masterton is usually 3-5 runs in a day which is pretty poor, but they usually run the 8's on the same day so theres a million cars there.

will probly be april before i get mine running again  its battered and bruised from too much racing. needs new engine mounts, clutch, wheel bearing, i.c piping, LSD recooned and new brakes and other stuff i cant remember

Yeah that sucks at Masterton - I swore ages ago I wouldn't race there again, though you never know. Nightspeed etc is lots of fun to race at, heads up and you can line up over and over again. 2hot2handle would have been great fun to race at, though only 1/8th mile and not a regular thing (if it ever happens again).

What kind of 1/8th mile times were you getting? Man it'd be cool to race a few exotics.
