Postby deaf_rattle » Wed Dec 20, 2006 4:24 pm

I am thinking about selling the fxgt and buying a honda prelude.
I know but its just for my daily driver.

are there any bad things apart from them being a honda?

any opinions would be good. anything to look out for etc

Some of them have issues with the ABS...does the one you're looking at have a digi dash?
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time

Dont they all have the digi water/fuel gauge?? They seem a bit cramped in the engine department. And the back seat is a joke. Seem to be well featured thought. although that of coarse means more things to go wrong. Ive decided the go quite well when your not running them on 91 (ping ping ping  )

*cough* viewtopic.php?t=53001 *cough*

Get one mate. I hated the things, the shape mostly.. but after driving one around for a few days now, I'm almost tempted to buy it myself!

Its' such an easy car to drive, so smooth and comfortable, but when you want the power and sportiness, just take it past 5000rpm.. and for a whale of a car, its' pretty damn fast! The only letdowns I've found so far, are the sheer size of the thing (I compare them to 300ZXs in terms of width/length.. big cars!), poor brakes under "sporty" driving, and the weird sensation of 4WS!

Things to watch for.. from what I've heard, the sunroofs rust, the ABS units aren't the most reliable, and the digital dashes in the earlier models tend to crap out, but parts are suprisingly easy to come by, and also surprisingly cheap..
