4age bellhousings

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Sun Dec 31, 2006 2:46 pm

are there any bellhousings for a 4age which are cheaper/easier to find than a t50-4age? im pretty sure the bellhousings on 4a-k50 boxes aren't separable right?

just need to get hold of a spare 4age bellhousing if I can, doesn't matter what gearbox its for, but the only ones I can think of is t50-4age and w55-4age...

is there any i've forgotten?

cheers.

There are T-50 to 3A which are the same as the 4A - T-50 bellhousing but with the slave cylinder on the passangers side. People want nearly as much money for them as a 4A - T-50 bellhousing. K-50, K-40 boxes dont ave a removable bellhousing.

A friend in the sports car club said that you can bolt up one of the RWD C-series diesel gearboxes to an A-series engine, if you leave one bolt out(dodgy). I know they made RWD camry, corolla, corona's in diesel but they are probably rarer that an actual 4A box.

-cant confirm this as i havent found anyone who has actually done it or ever seen one of the RWD diesel boxes
