Hi all
I've just joined today. Great forum you've got going here.
I'm considering getting rid of my 2003 Avensis wagon and going instead for a Caldina GT-T (chalk and cheese, I know, but I need some more power!).
Just wanted to get some advice on whether the car I'm eyeing up is a good deal. It's a 2001 GT-T (silver), tiptronic, with 69,500 km on the clock and is the facelift version. It's from a Toyota yard, and is a 'Signature Class' vehicle (i.e. it comes with 2 year mechanical warranty, 2 years' 'free WOFs, and 2 years' 'free' roadside assist). The asking price is $22,000. For those in the know, is this a reasonable price? (from my research on TradeMe and AutoTrader, this seems okay, especially given that there don't seem to be many 2001 GT-Ts around).
On the GT-T that I eventually purchase, I'm hoping to make some minor mods by fitting extractors and a free flowing exhaust system to rack up the power a little more, as well as 16" or 17" alloys to replace the factory 15" jobbies. Does anyone know where good places in Wellington/Lower Hutt are to get these 3 things done? (there's good ole Pitstop/Midas and Mag and Turbo Warehouse, but I'm unsure if these are the best places for price, quality, etc...).
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Mark.
