What do you think about Pioneer DEH2850MP?

Its on special at Noel Leeming for 269 with some speakers so I think I might get it.

Anyone know if its good?

Installed one last night. Sounded fine for a cheep unit. Cant really go wrong with pioneer.

Discksmiths in their latest catalogue have a 3850 for $248, no speakers though.


Same place have a $258 Panasonic too - reasonably high spec. Motorised face and all the bits as well.

I got a better one for cheaper, its the motorised face one you talk about Muzzie. Cheers :)

get one from 100% electrical Ollie? saw a panasonic unit that did mp3s and had speakers for 229, unreal how much they drop in price these days :(

Oh, I read Pioneer not Panasonic. Sorry. Yeah it was a pioneer one that I got.

good little unit for the price, low end obviously but good value for money for a first head unit

To be honest. Pioneer are good head units. Only problem I've ever foudn is when the cd is on shuffle if you skip the track it moves one track either side depending on which way you wanna go. Irratating.
