It's not at all the difficult to make or setup, the only things against it is cost by the time you remake all the pulleys etc to suit & get a suitable width & length belt. For the pulleys you can by the blanks in various belt profiles & various number of teeth to get you diameters right, it'd just be a matter of working out what you'd need & the same with any idlers/tensioners & buying the blanking & then boring to suit & if neccessary adding a keyway etc to drive them. Else you could always just get a suit machine shop to make them from scratch. You could also look at the various dry sump pump drives out there & see if you could mix & match parts from there to create what you wanted. It all depends on how much money you want to spend, how much you can do yourself & if you really want to do something different to everyone else.

How would having the pulleys toothed make the supercharger whine any more than without teeth on the pulleys??

Lot of the noise is the belt

Workmate has one on his 5K-T, got it off some dude on the net. Not sure if he was making them for anything else but I'll try and find out

sorry, i should have been more specific, as HRT pointed out, the ribbed belts create most of the noise

Yeah the whine is actually from the belt running back onto the gilmour pulley and pressing air out, some v8 guys actually drill holes in their pulleys to quiten it down, dont understand why you would wanna do that though???

blower whine is one of the best sounds out there if you ask me :D
