ok... change in diagnosis

i remember the last hing i changed was a seal on an injector so i undid the fpr and no fuel leaked out like it should. turned the key to on so the fuel pump will prime the injectors and no fuel spills out either.

can hear the fuel pump priming but no fuel...

any ideas?

Is there actually fuel getting to the rail?

Just because you can hear the pump doesn't mean its making enough pressure. Get a pressure/flow gauge on there and see whats happening

undid the hose and no fuel flows out.

please dont tell me i have to drop the tank to check the pump

it was running fine, then i replaced an injector seal and now it wont flow any fuel

You say you have no fuel leaking out, would this be out the return from the pressure regulator to the tank? See if there is pressure at the fuel rail itself, or to the fuel filter. Have to make sure fuel is actually flowing somewhere in the line before you can decide if the pump is stuffed or not without taking it out

no fuel anywhere, first (before thinking how fuel rails works) i tried the return line (off fpr) then off the delivery line, then off the the filter. all that is left is between the pump side of the filter and line to pump :S

i kno its unothodox, but it also "sounds" quieter aswell

crack the nut on the fuel filter, see if fuel leaks out their, if no fuel leaks out their, check that you have fuel in the fuel tank

if theirs no fuel just before the fuel filter(crack the bottom nut on the fuel filter) then either your fuel pump has died(kinda unlikely) or theirs a blockage somewhere else

it doesnt make sense for the fuel to just not be thier, perhaps check for power to the pump

admittedly im just a noob, but fuel systems are fairly logical and simple things

good luck

if its quieter wouldnt that be likely to be it straining against a blockage?

so you have cracked the bottom nut on the filter? the nut between the filter and the fuelpump? so its obvious that the filter isnt where the blockage may be

ok this is what you do now

crack the bottom nut again on the filter, take that line, put it in your mouth, and see if you can suck the fuel out of it...

the 4age pumps have like a 1 way valve, you cant blow through the pump, but you can suck stuff out of it(unless theirs a blockage in the line)

open your fuel cap before you do it to equalise the preasure

it sounds like a dumb idea, but if it were my car, and my dyno day, id be sucking it like i was trying to suck a golfball through a garden hose

good luck

well couldnt get the bottom nut off, but with a couple of turns of the key to prime the line and a quick prayer (actually did pray) it cleared itself :? so heres hoping its going to be ok. runs ok
