slideways: must be something with your motor. we have done a lot of track time on bluetops in various forms with no oil drain back or oil surge issues.
rods and crank sweet in bluetop. its the piston skirts that will eventually go. and still 170rwkw is possible, most likely more.
injectors are cheap in the scheme of things.

tuning.

I've taken the head off and can't see anything wrong, no buildup or blockages etc. Could have been pressure into the crankcase I guess...but haven't had the block apart yet.

Running a smallport head now so hopefully will be more suited.

In saying this, I've found a few people having this problem with bluetops re: oil drain back. Lots of factors to be taken into account though.

slightly OT... but is this why i would have ended up with oil all through my intake and intercooler piping after a high revving uphill run in my sc14 gze??

Could possibly be charger seals also, at high revs I doubt oil will back feed up the intercooler piping under boost.

Hey Karl, nice write up in NZPC mate. 8)
