GT-T LR w/bearing

Postby Santa'sBoostinSleigh » Thu Jan 11, 2007 4:39 pm

my LR wheel bearing is fuxed on my GT-T
ive got the new parts of Revvy so im sorted in that dept
but when it comes time to fitting it am i better to:
A) take it to Toyota/other garage and get them to do the whole job or,
B) take the hub etc off, take to any old places with a press to install the new one then put back together myself?

i havent had the rear hubs off on my GT-T yet, and as they are drum handbrake, not sure if this will make things difficult or whatever

any help/suggestions?

I'd go for option 'b'
Drum handbrake' disc brake units have a few more bits to deal with, but not too much. If worried, and have access, just take a digi photo as disassembling.
option 'a' is no hassle however.
Cant believe im still a member here.

Did CB not buy you a massive torque wrench for Christmas? I thought that was top of the list

Haha that made me laugh. Yeah wheel bearings are easy when it comes down to it. I've done 3 or 4 on various cars and never really had a problem.
