3sge block 3sgte head

Ok had a quick look thru the first 4 pages of search but didnt find much

I have a gen 1 mr2 3sge block and a gen 3 3sgte grp a engine what would happen if the head from the gte fell on to the ge and then was assembeld :P and run a link lem v5? how long u reckon it would last and what psi shld it run any idea on power

The more technical guys will corect me if im wrong...

But providing that all the oil and water lines in the block line up, it should be fine... the main limitation would be compression of the 3sge pistons...

if you have a grpa engine why dont you just throw the whole thing in the car?

Failing that just swap it with someone on here for a gen 1 3sgte :D

cause im thinking high comp low to medium boost :P if it holds for a while ill upgrade the 3sgte block then when the ge blows ill put it all back together as a 3sgte grp a motor but would be interesting to see what sorta power it could do befor it blows

Pretty sure you have a Gen2 engine - thats the one from the MR2's.

Talk to Adydas about it all.. he's pretty much done all that ;)

for 1 thing is thou they dont have oil sqirters and most gen2 and gen 3 turbo motors did even the gen 1 turbo for that matter

it works fine, i ran a gen2(celica) gt head on my gen1(celica) na block. it ran fine, just dont run high boost

just out of intrest, does it work the other way around? - can u use a gte bottom end with ge head?

yes unless u actuley want to go some were lol wld be low comp crap power...
