STOLEN, Mustang

Postby UTERUS » Fri Dec 15, 2006 10:02 am

Hello, my Uncle had a black fastback 1968 mustang stolen from kiwibond which is out by the auckland airport.
This car has not cleared MAF so it aint gonna have a shit show in hell of
getting a wof or reg.
It had JAS 68 californian no. plates on it.

If you hear of anyone trying to flick off fastback 68 parts gimmie a buzz.
Cheers,
Simon.

It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact

If they steal by order you'll never see the car again, its probably in bits on its way to the middle east (or somewhere similar) by now... :?

a friend of a friend had a very rare mustang one of only 2 in the country or something.
It was alarmed in the garage(walk in type) and the owner and wife was inside asleep. woke up in the morning to find oil and water on the floor.

The heads had been taken off... nothing else.

how you do that with making no noise i dont know... but you can bet that it was done to order

john tramp gets idiot of the week award... good comment

stuff gets stolen to international order all the time.

I have seen an evo 7 when it was first released with the valves and stuff in the cabin. They had only taken very specific engine parts and then set off a fire extinguisher in the car. sets were gone and a few other random parts.

sorry to hear about the mustang, i hope your uncle gets it back..

there was a 50 or 60s era sting ray that was stolen not long after the first owner had bought it. they found it a couple years back in a container.. just sitting there looking brand new

He had been paid out, but im sure he wouldve gotten it back and would be worth a packet now.

how does something like that get stolen before MAF have even cleared it?? wouldnt it be in a secure area so people cant just take it...or do they rely on the owner getting clearance before taking it off site?

This is true, most of the cars we get have been well pillaged in the short amount of time it takes to get them from the wharf to the yard :?

heh - familiar with parts being stolen - I had a Complete WRC Celica front end clip stripped during " ship swaps " in malaysia ex japan

They got into the container , stripped it for all the parts , engine , panels , ECU , the whole lot , and left the bare frame in the crate .. convienient how they could have got a forklift in to drag it out , strip it down , pack up the parts , re pack the container with just the frame , and then waltz out the gates of the shipping yard without any of the wharfies even blinking an eye ..
