depends on which engine it bolts to....
1jz ones seem to go for more.

As most people that put manuals behind m series engines go w series boxes.

Its off a JZA70. So that would be the 1JZ-GTE motor... what have you seen them go for?

If you sell at the right time you could fetch 7/800$ for one.

Well mostly when people buy an R154 for the purpose of doing a manual conversion on a JZ they buy one with the bellhousing as it's damn near impossible to find just a bellhousing on it's own.

I wouldn't say there's a terribly big market for them but there is the odd time where someone manages to get a box for cheap without the housing where they'd need to get one.

Yeah I have been hunted down by a few people who know I have one and offered a few hundred for it, I was like huh? I was going to biff it. Guess I should try my luck on TM when I take it off.

Heh, I keep clicking the wrong button when splitting crap from a post.
Please try not to argue/stir sh*t people, a valid question has been asked and posts such as "its worth what people want to pay for it" aren't exactly helpful in giving the person asking a rough idea of what they should ask as a reasonable price for what they are trying to sell

Anyways, this had this useful information before accidentally moved it to somewhere where I cant put it back from

Jason T:

Scrap value $20 to V8 conversion

Market value
$200/$300 is a good offer take it tardme will net 15 on watchlist and no one wanting to put cash were there keyboard is

99% of box's for sale have bells attached if not look harder

Silent Knight:

Jason I know a couple of people that has paid that amount just for a W>JZ bellhousing because they couldn't find any others at the time so it's only logical to assume that you'd be able to fetch the same amount for an R>JZ housing...

Again it depends on what the need for one is at the time...
If you have a R>JZ housing you want to let go for under 100$ however please feel free to contact me at any given time.

Jason T:

Different box different availability R154 is used for grunt V8s not slapping a weak "cheap" box behind a 1J/2J R154 bell has no high valve as box is not easy to come by when it does 99% are with bell anyway as it wont fit any other box type

Look at the two engines just sold on trademe both brought for box conversions do you think they will hock of just the bell ??

W58 1J bell pay Knight sport the $500 they want for a new unit why would you pay $200 more for used unit cause its JDM that's just..........

Like paying $500 for a "M" series bell when new ex Japan was $395+gst ( over five years ago must be less now  )
