if your car has an auto tensioner, you replace it when doing a cam belt...

this is what i dont get 2 tensioners unless this engin is different to every one iv ever seen most run a tensioner pully & spring or an auto tensioner ??

the autotensioner works against a pulley.
with toyota they refer to that pulley as a tensioner pulley.

I think I see where the confusion is.

Mr revhead means all types, ie corolla corona etc etc,

you are thinking all the tensioners on a single engine?
as in does an engine have more than one?
