Upcoming 4 & Rotary Event Question

Postby Quirky » Sat Jan 20, 2007 3:08 pm

Hello there,

This year, will be the first time I will hopefully be going to the 4 & rotary.

Couple of questions, which I couldn’t find on the site, this is for one day only, the 28th.

What time does it start?

Where do I get tickets, do we just go and pay at the entrance?

Im comin from Wellington, so I hope I haven’t got things sussed too late.

That'll be the drags at Meremere on the Sunday.
You can just pay at the gate. From memory you wont be allowed entry to the pit area though, unless you have a mate that is racing and has got some pit passes for you.

Enjoy.

you gotta pay like $5 for parking at the show, and a $25 car pass to get you down to the grass for the drags,

what? so to get a car park at all, even unsecured on the field, we need to buy tickets in advance? what about entry tickets?

I've just called them up.

Carpark on the field is free, unsecure. Ive heard people do tend to break into cars while its there though.

My plan, take out my stereo equipment and leave it at the motel. And probably take out the parcel shelf aswell, so "people" can see into the boot, and realise (hopefully) that there is nothing of value in the car.

So if you plan to park on the feild, its a $20 entrance fee, paid at the gate.
What time should we (I) be there?

I'll have to park in the secure lot, the KP will be like something shiny to a magpie otherwise.

Pisses me off we have to go to extra lengths to accomodate this kind of scum at these events.

I was more worried about having my car burnt out a couple of years back. It was pretty damn close to the fire in the field. I saw a chick there crying as her pretty much brand new BA Falcon burned to the ground. Not good!

Yeah, you can leave and come back. Just make sure you get a ticket on your way out, or they'll charge you to get in again.
