there seems to be a pretty common opinion that bluetop cams are better than the redtop cams on n/a 4ages, but I've read somewhere that the redtop cams are better for turbo engines. is this true?
if so, does this only apply when putting bluetop cams into smallport redtops? I've got an aw11 4agze (bigport), so will this have the same cams as the bigport bluetop (seeing as both are bigport)?
and as for swapping the cams, is there anything in particular I should pay attention to when putting them in? and do all the bolts/nuts etc get tightened to a specific torque, or just tighten them right up?
obviously the new cams would go in at the same angle the old ones were removed at, so all the timing should remain OK won't it? is there anything else worth doing to the cams while I've got them out?
sorry if this has been covered before, ive done a few searches and havent got any definite answers.
cheers.
