AE111 Wiring.

Mmmkai so im one of those " drive on the main intercity roads with spotlights on" people, wanting to re-wire, or mod, my lights, so i can run spotlights only ( at present, the park/headlights also have to be on ), have mounted a tidy little switch on a spare dash slot, but just thought id ask if anyone knows wich wires in teh dash column run up to the spotlights? otherwise ill have to create a whole new circuit to run them off this switch, and i realy cant be assed.

you will need to go back to the relay box its controled there

Oh yup, any idea wich pins in the relay run what? otherwise ill just go play with it till i figure it out

no idea sorry, in my ae101 you cant make the fogs run with the loom on the steering wheel, if your fog switch is on and you hit the park light wire they both go... there could be a wire but no idea...

ah true, so it might be just as easy to hardwire a whole new circuit for the spotties then, yeah?

if you are going to do, would be an idea to wire up so you can switch back easy as wont pass wof how you intend to wire it up.

i don't know where you get your wof, but at my local place, the spotlights aren't tested as part of the wof testing process. but our local guy is pretty dodgy, lol.

must be dodgy, they are writen clearly about in vir manual & over the years, when I had spotties, I got pulled up on them several times (as rules have changed re wiring)

meh. i don't see how it would make a difference, they still work.. and they were on their own switch, before i re-wired them, the only difference is the main headlights don't have to be on, for me to turn the spotties on.
