which model? they came in mk2 supra, mk3 and mk4( and some other cars i know)

the later model ones are sposed to have larger input shafts which make them stronger

ummm rear shifter its got a bellhousing going to a 1uzfe.

W58 GA70 Box only selling for around $700 min via trademe

1UZ bellhousing to suit W58 $500-$700

If with flywheel & clutch to suit 1UZ $2000 -$2500 easy

i got that hole set up for a lexus. 6 puk clutch flywheel w58 box and bellhousing

seen them around the $300ish. trademe not always the best source. some items get bumped up way above usual value.

i sell them for $350 but prices have gone up alot, so id probably sell for $400-$450 now at least

i know of people still getting them for 250...
so i dunno why anyone thinks there going up in price ..aside from sellers tring to push teh price up...

the fact is they are selling for $600 in some cases.
As you always mention wayne, its worth what people will pay.

Haha very true. deaf_rattle is right though, some people will pay relatively stupid prices for W gearboxes. I'm too tight and too stubborn to be one of them.

alot of people cant remove boxes by themselves, so they will pay money for box on its own.

and any box i remove is close enough to being touched by christ :lol:
if you have a w series box and want to sell it cheap, thats up to you.

my mate just sold a w58 for $600.

umm only one of those has a bid...and thats more expensive than one of he other ones buy now.....

i dont really see that makes them worth anything
as for the whole w58's been stronger thing....
what a load of arse
there just different gearing again///like all the other w series boxes

i herd someone mutter something about a bigger input shaft.....lol
so the input shaft is bigger ...yet they share the same clutch and spline....

i smell snake oil

i just dont see how the market is demaning such high prices for something that is still obtainable cheaply

i sence a lot of it is the "talkingit up" that gose on

I have sold more w series boxes than you have had non grumpy days wayne. i know how quickly they sell for $350

Even had a couple go south (one inc $80 worth of postage so $430 for the box)
