Phat beats and out-of-luck crooks. Again, read the Disclaimer first.

Yeah mines all done now, was back in June :)

I got Rainbow SLC 265 Components and a EAudio 280AB amp.
Tweaters were great they just fitted in same place as factory with same mounting.
Had to make spacers for doors, and when I finished it all found I had about 4mm between the end of the magnet and the window (when it came down), so very lucky. Had to put in 10mm (or 12mm) MDF spacers. Cant remember what size they were now.

Sounds great.

Question, did you have to cut much from the door card? or at all...

Hey,

Only thing you have to cut on the door card is the little plastic ring on the inside of the speaker grill. its a support ring of some kind, but its not needed, its only thin plastic. you just run around the base with a knife and it comes off easy as. You dont see anything different from the outside.
If you mount your crossover on the inside of the door, the doorcard has a plastic box near the centre. Just cut out a few fins and screw it in there.
Card fits back in no problems at all.

Well you dont have to no.
Just my speakers were the biggest you could fit in the doors without more modifications... it was damn lucky they actually fitted at all, since I had to put a big spacer in and the window only just cleared the magnet... forgot the window went down there... was plesently surprised though.

I sound deadened the front doors too, make a good difference and cut road noise down too. sounds like noise is coming from the back now, so should have done those doors too - but couldnt afford.
