hes my best mates uncle, saw him at a wedding on saturday, fock he cracks me up hes a bloody riot, also told me I didn't need to cert my car which made me happy :D

In that case why did he certify my exact same car, with the same conversion then? You're over the power increase threshold, and need a cert.

I didn't even get into the "same engine" debate, as I figured the last thing I wanted if I pranged the car was the insurance company having the perfect loophole to not pay out for the Bentley or whatever I had just hit.

So away certing I went.

Thus, no possible debate points at WOF or insurance time. 8)

yeah leon insurance was the only thing I am concerned about, but he said because it comes from the same engine family...

I'm going to see him again soon and see if he can write me up something saying he has seen it and believes it does not need to be certified, otherwise I probably will pay for a cert.

If it doesn't need certing (and it quite clearly and specifically says it does in regulation) ... then I'll have the $400 or whatever I paid him for a cert refunded thanks :lol:

well i'll speak to him some more and see what the haps is, i haven't said yet that I wasn't going to cert the car, I have always intended to its just not particularly in my budget at the moment!
