i dont really see that makes them worth anything
as for the whole w58's been stronger thing....
what a load of ar*e
there just different gearing again///like all the other w series boxes

i herd someone mutter something about a bigger input shaft.....lol
so the input shaft is bigger ...yet they share the same clutch and spline....

i smell snake oil

I have sold more w series boxes than you have had non grumpy days wayne. i know how quickly they sell for $350

Even had a couple go south (one inc $80 worth of postage so $430 for the box)

id say ken evans has bought and sold mre w series boxes than you have touched :D
and i doubt hes payed more than 200 for any of them

fact is you are buying your box at less than you are selling then...
so they are avalible for less than your offered selling price
so please
explain to me why you having them atumatically makes them worth more than teh price you bought them for ??
i mean you dont pay 350 for them ..you just get them cheap and sell them for the best dollor you can.....
that not what there worth
what there worth is what ever you payed for them...........

im not having a dig matt
but i cant see how you can say there worth that when you wouldnt pay that for them yourself
.....
ive sold bluetopsm for 600 bucks before...dosent mean there worth that

i dunno
liek i said its nothing personal its just my opinion and liek you im entilted to have that
selling more boxes than me dosent quailify your opinion as fact...but considering how many parts i do have go past my nose....bought and sold id say i have a far larger e penis :D

were talking specifically rare bits....
i.e trd rods .... tillton twinplates...cusco/tien/jic/bilstien..coil overs for mr2's...7agte's that now make 500hp.....beams motors that will soon surpass that :D

Just to go a wee bit of the topic here but what are the differences in the w series g boxes. i have a 1982 celica supra with a m-teu engine and a auto box :( and ive been told a W58 box will bold up to it...... what im triing to get out is would any w series box bolt up. is it just the internals that change do the casing and mounts change to.

seemed like the right place to ask since you guys have touched so many of them.

W55-58 all interchangable to my knowledge, W50 not. Obvously you will need the correct manual bellhousing also and drive shaft. They have different shifter positions available, so you will need either the correct one of them or alter the tunnel hole position.
casing and ratios differ between w5#boxes
