Can't figure out why i've lost 3 psi, so the next step is to get a boost controller, turn up the boost and if it still doesn't fix the problem i know the wastegate has shat itself (figure i could get a boost controller/tap for cheaper than i could in pulling out my turbos and seeing if thats the problem :))

So what'd be a good boost controller/tap for a 1G-GTE thats not going to break the bank, or the car, just has to be a in-bonnet type tap with no bells and whistles, just a 'turn this way for more boost' feature.

$5 ball type valve from your local engineering suppliers..

cheap RELIABLE way, get a proper pressure REGULATOR, this will not "bleed" the air which cause's big spikes.

look up Norgren Ltd, think thats how you spell it

if its just to see if the actuator is poked pull the hose off. it will boost mega pounds if u flat foot it but u will be able to feather the throttle past 3psi to see if its just an actuator issue.

check all your hose clamps and joiners for leaks. Pressurise the whole intake line if you can with a compressor, pour soapy water on all the joins. If you have an airleak causing the pressure loss, winding your boost up is only going to overspin the turbos even worse and they'll sh!t themselves
