brakes binding on

Postby Cakky » Mon Feb 19, 2007 7:25 pm

hey guys just completing putting the 20v blacktop into my car however we have a problem with binding brakes.

we are using the blacktop brake booster and master cylinder, however sometimes the brakes had a random tendency to bind on making the car unmoveable, then once moving a bit again they would unbind?? I got a friend of mine to come around and adjust where the master cylinder meets the pedal and once he did this everything seems fine, i drove all the way home with no problem then as I was reversing into my driveway they binded up again...

any ideas on what may be causing this?
its stressing me out no end.

cheers

Faulty brake booster can do that,I rebuilt an damaged car many years ago,the booster was damaged or faulty, had to undo the front brake bleeders to get the car moving again.New booster fixed the problem.

jack it, crack a nipple on a locking corner and see if it frees up, if it does its holding residual pressure, if it doesnt its a seized caliper, but more than likely the first prob.
