Helpers needed April 14th, Manfeild

Postby Leon » Mon Feb 26, 2007 4:06 pm

Greetings boys and girls.

Harbour Capital Car Club needs YOU (and your family, any pets with opposable thumbs, neighbours etc).

We're running our Dual Car Sprint on Saturday April 14th. We're looking for some keen people to do stop watch duty during the day. You get the best view of the track, and you get to be inside all day if the weather is grim.

We feed and water you, and if you're interested we will stick you out in the passenger seat of something for a fun ride during the day.

From half nine would be good, and the length of the day will vary according to how many entries we get.

Anyone keen to help us out (in any role) would be much appreciated.

Yep, I know this is miles advance notice ... but I thought I'd throw it out there nice and early, as I know people get very busy these days.

If anyone needs a ride there and back, we're going to have loads of drivers going up and back during the day that I can arrange lifts with. Like I say, we're really grateful for any offers of help, and really try to look after our helpers as much as possible.

I'm not sure if I am entering or not at this stage, through lack of suitable vehicle. There is the possibility that I might go up there, do timing, and then stay up for the Lester Multi event weekend (motorkhana, autocross, single car sprint run by Manawatu).

It'd be really awesome if we had an all Toyspeed timing crew, that'd make for a fun day. Also, timing is something that often the girls have been really good at ... so twist those partners arms ;)

Actually ... I believe that event runs after the Dual Car Sprint, from a conversation with Julian Hardy
