Celica GT4 wheel offset.

Postby RedMist » Mon Feb 26, 2007 11:05 pm

Looking at some 15 inch rally rims. There are some Subaru 45mm offset rims on Trademe at the moment. Has anyone run 45mm offset rims on a Celica before?
The answer is Helmholtz!

i belive the 185s offset is +35 if that helps, but the only way around fitting to guards on my car is going to be with rear spacers.

Redmist, I have 2 sets of 15 x 7 OZ racing rims and 1 set of 16 x 8 OZ 5 spokes - all off Celica.
The 15" have 1 set of 205/55-15 Toyo seal tyres and 1 set of 205/50-15 Bridgestone seal tyres in good nick.
Any interest?

oz racing rims for the win

they are usually + 35 - which for a 20-5 is pretty much perfect ..

Spacers + rallycar = a bad thing , seeing those are going to see off ground excursions

Some early STI rims will fit Gt4's but the main issue is clearing the big brakes ..

Im not sure if this will apply to you after the brakes change to meet rally rules though

16 X 8's on that offset *may* foul the rear struts on a gt4 - i know they fouled onmy Old St185 rim cleared by a millimeter or two - tyre would have rubbed - the only way to fix that is indeed spacing

17 X 8 doesnt have this problem

& inch wide shuld clear with no dramas , this is what i ended up on my 185 with no clearance issues ( 17 X 7 racing harts )
