st162 4age gearbox

hi

i have a gearbox off a 4age in a st162, am i right in assuming they are the same as ones from an ae82 fx-gt?

someone must know? i know its not common for celicas to have 4ages in them but someone must have come across it before?

its been rebuilt so i'd love to use it if i can!

It is not ST162 but it is AT160...

I know a mate that put a c52 4age g/box from an AT160 into an AE92. The only problem he encounted was the axles, they were different becasue the AT160 has 5-stud hubs? Hope that helps.

That mike you talking about?

The 4age ones are 4 stud as well not 5 stud like the rest of them. I think he might have used the axles too.

The box went in fine, but we had trouble finding a gear box mount for the left hand side, we modified a ee91 mount I think.

I can tell ya for a fact that all the front drive 4age models use c52 abd they all have same ratios

Many previously owned projects: 94 Hilux 4WD, 92 VP SS commodore, AE85 notchback, Ae85 rolling shell, Ke35 sr coupe, EP82 turb starlet

so to confirm if they are all c52's would it go straight into an ae82, using all the ae82 stuff axles etc.?
